I was inspired by the Art Deco shape of old-world keyholes, but I wanted to turn my gaze around and peep out at the glamour and beautiful entropy of New York City streets. A saturated pink hue creates a hazy appearance, resembling an old window covered with amber tones of dust accumulated over decades of history. I wanted to look through the keyhole and celebrate the city’s lustrous chaos.
