Franco Romagnoli, the founder of this Roman institution, died a few years ago, at age 85, after decades of presiding over the same restaurant his father left him in 1929. Over the years, it has been frequented by the likes of Richard Gere, Robert De Niro, and the former Italian president Carlo Azeglio Ciampi.
