Paris has the superpower of feeling both intimate and limitless. Neighborhood spots and world-famous attractions line the streets of the Right and Left Banks. Pairing the two makes for an agreeable and inspiring visit. The list of well-known museums is long but necessary; don’t miss the Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay, and the Pompidou Museum. We also recommend seeing smaller museums like the Musée Rodin, as well as newer cultural institutions like the Fondation Louis Vuitton and the Bourse du Commerce. Paris wouldn’t be Paris without (very) long meals. We like bistros such as the Café Varenne and Brasserie Lipp, or the Voltaire if you are looking for something more high-end. We also like Yen for Japanese food, Casa Bini for Italian, and the restaurant at La Grande Mosquée for Middle Eastern food. If you like to shop, head to the Rue des Francs Bourgeois in the Marais, or to the Bon Marché in the 7th Arrondissement. Paris is not lacking in hotels; the George V, Hotel Costes, and Bristol are three elegant options. Also, be sure to take a walk in one of the city’s many parks, such as the Tuileries, the Luxembourg, and the Jardin des Plantes.
