Just five minutes from the Palais du Luxembourg, on a picturesque side street in the heart of the city’s Latin quarter, sits the Crêperie des Canettes. With its low ceilings and nautical décor, the café’s intimate interior almost resembles the inside of a boat. Luckily, the provisions are much better than sailor’s fare. Locals and tourists alike flock here for their perfect crêpes and galettes. Those hankering for something sweet can order a sugary crepe flambéed at the table with Grand Marnier. For those leaning more savory, we recommend one of their signature galettes de sarrasin, a buckwheat pancake with your choice of truffled ham, grilled vegeatables, or, if you’re feeling adventurous, Burgundy snails. Finish it off with a cold glass of kir vin blanc. —Paulina Prosnitz
