The collector and artist Arina Izmestieva has founded a new annual platform for sculpture called Funny Weather—and the name says it all. The premise is simple. Take contemporary sculpture out of the white cube and put it out where the weather can get to it. For its inaugural exhibition, “Strange Objects,” eight artists—Jill Berelowitz, Ilona Malka Rich, Elise de Falletans, Henri Frachon, Thibault Lucas, Mathilde Albouy, Luke James, and STASH—have made and installed works in bronze, resin, ceramic, stone, and organic material across the Hampshire landscape. The light changes, the seasons turn, the rain falls, and the sculptures respond. —Elena Clavarino
