Walker Street Market

July 11, 2026 – July 11, 2027
22 Walker Street, Lenox, MA 01240, United States

In the early-19th century, Lenox, Massachusetts, a city of local pottery works and iron foundries, was a bustling hub for American industrial artisans. As the century progressed into the Gilded Age, wealthy seasonal residents (known locally as “cottagers”) began commissioning regional painters, sculptors, and woodworkers to decorate their country estates. This summer, the Walker Street Market revisits that legacy. Set inside a restored early-20th-century dry goods store, the design and interiors gallery brings together more than 70 artists and designers who work in wood, ceramics, glass, textile, and metal. There is also a curated selection of kitchen goods, books, apothecary items, and even a flower market. The exhibition space will host a rotating program of shows year-round, honoring the timeless craftsmanship and heritage of contemporary Berkshire artists. The event begins with an opening reception on Saturday, July 11, from four to eight P.M. —Clara Scholl
