Not just a collector but a noted hostess, Lisa Perry is also the steward of Onna House, the surprisingly modernist spread on East Hampton’s clubby Georgica Road that she purchased after pivoting from her go-go fashion business a few years ago. Having turned it into a gallery for work by women artists and designers, she is celebrating summer there with “PLAY & Wander through Whimsy.” The show lightheartedly marks her newfound fascination with mahjongg, a game at which her fashionable and cultured mother, like so many nice Jewish ladies of the time, excelled. Perry has made Onna House’s stand-alone studio structure into a tearoom and mahjongg lair filled with fanciful ceramics by Lucia Pompetti, Shino Takeda, and Jaye Kim, and giant fabric flowers by Kayla Powers. In the main house, she has curated a selection of ceramics, textiles, and works on paper, including large-scale wall jewelry by Delphine Cordie and a delicate porcelain flower installation by Kaori Tatabayashi, which seems an extension of the Japanese-style grounds just the other side of the shimmering period plate-glass windows. —Celia McGee
