 d into the Gilded Age\, wealthy seasonal residents (known locally as “co
 ttagers”) began commissioning regional painters\, sculptors\, and woodwo
 rkers to decorate their country estates. This summer\, the Walker Street M
 arket revisits that legacy. Set inside a restored early-20th-century dry g
 oods store\, the design and interiors gallery brings together more than 70
  artists and designers who work in wood\, ceramics\, glass\, textile\, and
  metal. There is also a curated selection of kitchen goods\, books\, apoth
 ecary items\, and even a flower market. The exhibition space will host a r
 otating program of shows year-round\, honoring the timeless craftsmanship 
 and heritage of contemporary Berkshire artists. The event begins with an o
 pening reception on Saturday\, July 11\, from four to eight P.M.
