Jean Imbert is the darling of French cuisine. And a darling he is! Good looks, cool attitude, a family man, and majorly creative. Before the big news of him replacing Alain Ducasse at the iconic Plaza Athénée, he had opened Mamie with his beloved grandmother Nicole, in 2019. Heart-melting—and a big success! Now, here he his with high-voltage fans like Pharrell Williams, Beyoncé, and Jay Z, not to mention Kylian Mbappé. I went to the Plaza Athénée en famille, which I would certainly not have done under the previous tenure. We all loved our langoustines mayo, gratin de dorade, and the friendly atmosphere. —Anne McNally
