Oasis: Don't Look Back in Anger

Before Liam and Noel Gallagher announced their reunion and subsequent tour in 2025, the Oasis brothers had produced enough chaos to fill a documentary on that subject alone. In 2009, a backstage argument ahead of what should have been the band’s headline set at Paris’s Rock en Seine festival ended with Liam first hurling a plum at Noel, then returning with a guitar he wielded like an axe. More than a decade after they split, the Gallagher brothers are now happily reunited and their return is the focus of a new documentary, Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger. The film features rare footage, backstage access, and the pair’s first joint interview in 20 years. Directed by Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern, it earned an eight-minute standing ovation at its premiere at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival ahead of the theatrical release. Meanwhile, more than 100 hours of early Oasis recordings are headed to auction at Littleton Auctions in Evesham, Worcestershire, on October 3. —Clara Scholl
