Eric Striffler is a self-described “big fan” of following the law. That doesn’t mean the Southampton native is thrilled about the growing number of license-plate readers in his hometown.
“I’ve always seen it as a quote-unquote small-town area,” Striffler says about the summer enclave. “Now that this surveillance is being used, it raises an eyebrow for sure.” He adds, “Who is collecting the data? Is the data being sold to third parties?”
