Seoul-based fashion brand Andersson Bell is known for mixing and mingling Scandinavian style with a distinctly Korean sensibility. The results are often irresistible, especially this navy Galaxy dress, which has an awful lot going on—in a good way. Comprising a pleated twill crêpe skirt that fastens with a buckle and a stretch-knit metallic bodice, it looks like the kind of thing that an influencer would pull together, except it’s all in one piece, and at an excellent price. What we wouldn’t give for an appointment at Christine Chin. But given the coronavirus numbers in New York, an at-home spa-esque experience will have to do. And while we’ve tried the breathtakingly expensive sheet masks flecked with gold, we keep returning to Charlotte Tilbury’s tried-and-true Goddess Skin Clay Mask. Generally, clay masks are very drying, but Tilbury sources the clay from a nutrient-rich Spanish variety that extracts dirt and grime from pores without leaving the skin parched. It’s also infused with sweet-almond oil and a peptide complex to ensure maximum hydration. It’s not quite the same as an hour under the care of Christine, but, for now, it will suffice. As much as we like to think of ourselves as Trendy Boot People, truth be told, we wear these slick little Chelsea boots from Tod’s six days out of seven. There are reasons for this: comfort, fashion, and function. Do they flatter the leg with that ever so slightly curved toe? They do. Do they tackle adverse weather conditions with bravery and panache? Indeed. And do they complement even the trickiest pant lengths? Very well. Bonus points—not like they need them—for easily sliding on and off and for making last season’s floaty dresses look fresh.
