Humans will find a way to communicate, as the last few months have shown. We always have, from cave paintings to Zoom.

There are no songs here that concern either of those particular methods. Nor is there anything called, oh, “Pictogram Boogie” or “The Carrier-Pigeon Shuffle.” (Though Wreckless Eric’s “Semaphore Signals” almost made the cut.) We had to be selective—after all, you could do several playlists focusing only on phone calls or letters. Still, we think you’ll enjoy the range of messaging options herein.
