Recently, The New York Times added a new game to their puzzle section. It’s called Connections. Its premise is simple: group 4 words that share a common thread from the 16 words presented. As anyone who has ever played it can tell you, Connections is both addictive and maddening, often leaving players to face-palm when the sometimes obvious, sometimes insanely related, answers that they missed are revealed.

On behalf of exasperated puzzle solvers everywhere, I’m issuing an open challenge to the New York Times editors to solve this edition of Connections.

Just as you ask your readers to do, simply group four words that share a common thread. Good luck!
