At 34 years old, Phillipa Soo has originated more characters on Broadway than many actors will in their lifetime. She began, most notably, as Alexander Hamilton’s wife, Eliza Schuyler, in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s revolutionary 2015 Broadway production. Since then, she’s played the titular role in the Broadway adaptation of Amélie and transformed into Guinevere in Aaron Sorkin’s 2023 revival of Camelot, at Lincoln Center. Ever embodying complex female characters, Soo now shifts her focus to the screen, starring as nurse Avery Morgan in ABC’s new medical drama, Doctor Odyssey. To celebrate its release, Soo shares her key components to the good life. —Carolina de Armas
