At 29 years old, Anna Weyant is one of the art world’s hottest names. Born in Alberta, Canada, and discovered on Instagram, of all places, she’s the youngest artist ever represented by renowned art dealer—and ex-boyfriend—Larry Gagosian. Weyant has been called the “millennial Botticelli,” and her autobiographical scenes, which trade for upward of $1 million, blend current, hyper-online sensibilities with old-world techniques, from chiaroscuro to Dutch-master-inspired dark backgrounds. Touching down in London for Frieze and her new show, “Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolves?,” she details her travel routine (and love of The Sims 4).
