The Polo

Ralph Lauren

Just when it seemed like Ralph Lauren had already perfected his polo-shirt offerings, he had to change it up again. Thanks to the Made-to-Order Polo program, those who are hell-bent on customization will find themselves with a dizzying array of decisions to make. First, choose from one of six styles. (Solid? Striped collar? Chest stripe? And so on.) Then choose colors. Next, add text—such as the name of your favorite digital weekly, perhaps? Then select the size and color of the logo, and voilà—in two weeks, a custom-knit creation will arrive at your doorstep, ready to be enjoyed all summer long. ($168, ralphlauren.com)

The Bag

Edie Parker

Miniaturized, color-blocked, and made of hand-poured acrylic, Edie Parker’s cheeky little Cooler Bag goes from the beach to the soirée, where it’s sure to put all the other evening bags to shame. With an interior mirror on the back of the lid, and just enough room to stash the essentials, be it cold ones or a wallet, it’s a versatile take on a summer staple. (We’re partial to the “kale salad” color, but it also comes in poppy, baby blue, and white.) Each is custom-ordered, which means you can personalize the nameplate with your name (if it’s fewer than five characters) or initials. ($795, edie-parker.com)

The Shoes

Rowing Blazers x Sperry

Sick of spending your seafaring summers in the same-old, same-old boat shoes? Help is here. Rowing Blazers has collaborated with Sperry to jazz up the latter brand’s classics. Dreary brown leather no more—the Lug-Sole A.O. 3-Eyes are colorful beauties that come in two cheerful varieties, each made of water-resistant nylon, with a sole designed with wet and dry traction in mind, to keep you from slipping and sliding on deck. Go forth and tack! ($160, rowingblazers.com)

The Ring

Ippolita

Candy often looms large in the work of artist Will Cotton, and now it’s been rendered in fine-jewelry form. Ippolita has enlisted Cotton to design a small capsule collection as part of the brand’s Artist Charms series, the proceeds of which are donated to the Brooklyn Museum. This Gumdrop Ring, made of 18-karat gold and blue matted glass, may look deceptively simple from a distance, but up close it reveals itself to be a Ring Pop for adults—a conversation starter we can get behind. For those who want a bit more sparkle, it also comes encrusted in diamonds. ($500, ippolita.com)
