This playlist is inspired by my job running Brooklyn Botanic Garden, where every day I have the pleasure of experiencing 52 acres of spectacular natural and cultivated beauty that we share with one million New Yorkers and other visitors every year. It’s also a tribute to the B.B.G. gardeners, who work tirelessly to create that beauty. Some of the songs I selected came out of talks with them, and, naturally, half the songs are about roses, because it’s rose season right now at B.B.G.!
All of the tracks on this playlist speak to either gardens or flowers, and, like any good garden, it may produce persistent earworms. I hope it inspires you to make a visit!
