Inspired by his travels around the world, Liautaud’s pieces are crafted by hand and made from ethically sourced materials. We’re especially partial to the clever way he uses natural baroque pearls—one at a time, to show off their organic beauty. With the amount of tennis we’ve been playing during lockdown, we should, theoretically, be professionals by now. Not quite, but at least we’ve become experts in on-court fashion. Certain members of team Air Mail have been enjoying a Hitchcock film fest, leaving us very fashion-inspired. Luckily, Oliver Peoples has recently unveiled a collection of eyewear inspired by Cary Grant’s character in North by Northwest, the dashing ad exec Roger Thornhill. With eight styles made of acetate—our particular favorite is the tortoise—and finished with a subtle “CG” monogram on the temple tip, lifted from the actor’s personal stationery, these are as classic as can be for gentlemen, and equally good-looking on the ladies. Since arriving on the scene a decade or so ago, Orlebar Brown has been our go-to choice when it comes to swimwear that we know will look good on us. With a wide range of cuts that flatter just about every guy, the company—now owned by Chanel—has single-handedly beautified more beaches and pool decks than anyone can imagine, effectively exiling saggy, baggy trunks. So, we were intrigued when they launched their 007 Heritage Collection—a range of swimsuits and summer essentials (shirts, pants, pullovers) inspired by looks from James Bond films.
