The Bowery Hotel

The sitting room at the Bowery Hotel.

335 Bowery, New York, NY 10003, United States

The sad truth about New York hotels is that you can’t really escape tiny bedrooms and loud noise. You also can’t escape spending over $500 a night for something comfortable. So why not choose the Bowery, located in the beating heart of downtown Manhattan? There’s something very old-world about this hotel, despite the fact that it’s gloriously trendy. Plus, the martinis are excellent, as is the pizza. —Elena Clavarino
