Admittedly, the line at Bemelman’s has become preposterously long thanks to the TikTok set’s discovery of “old New York.” But who can blame them? It’s hard to resist the romance of live jazz, white-glove service, filthy martinis, and Ludwig Bemelmans’s playful murals adorning the walls.
