Omakase is trending, and not just when it comes to sushi—Korean tasting counters are also springing up across street corners in Manhattan at an impossible speed. Though there are many worthy places to try, the winner is undoubtedly Atomix, JP and Ellia Park’s restaurant nestled in a townhouse on 30th Street and Park Avenue. Inside, diners are served a 12-course meal—including delectables like sweet shrimp, freshwater eel, and caviar—all served atop a granite wrap-around counter. The omakase goes for $395, but it’s worth the steep price. —Elena Clavarino
