This classic Italian restaurant is nestled on East 81st Street between Lexington and Third Avenue. The food is reliable, old-school, and unpretentious—the pastas are fantastic, and the chicken milanese can compete with the best of Milan’s. The real draw, though, is the interior. The dining room glows, with red banquettes and soft-pink walls that are covered in art. It’s a restaurant with real personality, and the perfect place for a post-museum meal. —Michael Pescuma
