Since opening in 2018, Sushi Noz—a sleek omakase bar on 78th Street built in Hinoki wood—has become one of the city’s most coveted temples of Edomae sushi. The problem is the bill; expect to spend around $400 a head. Next door, Noz Market offers the same top-tier fish in a more laid-back setting for roughly half the price. At the counter, there’s a tight omakase. At the standing bar, hand rolls of negi-toro, trout, and more. Or take it home. If you ever splurge on the $108 tuna, uni, and ikura don, you’ll find yourself thinking about it again and again. —Elena Clavarino
