Whenever I’m in London, I always get so excited to stay at the Cadogan, an over-century-old Belmond property that had a big makeover a few years ago, located right on Sloane Street. It’s really in the heart of it all, with the best shopping and restaurants minutes away. The room accommodations are next level, and the suites have refurbished fireplaces, high ceilings, and luxurious bathrooms with garden views from the tub. Right next to the garden is a private tennis court, which I love to use if I can find the time. Something I will, however, always find the time for is the hotel’s restaurant, the LaLee. LaLee’s sophisticated European cuisine is made with all fresh ingredients and influenced by traditional recipes from across the continent. Staying at the Cadogan is like stepping into a fancy time machine. —Vanessa von Bismarck
