When she was still in college, Annie Leibovitz showed her photos to Rolling Stone magazine. The publication itself was but three years old. It would be the beginning of her journey from student photographer to admired master. Where exhibitions on Leibovitz usually feature her work chronologically, “Stream of Consciousness” strives to find rhyme and reason between distant moments and to make connections between images that shadow one another. This showcase in Monaco, a first, celebrates her recent induction into the distinguished Académie des Beaux-Arts. —Henry McGrath
