Death of a Salesman

Oct 24, 2019 – Jan 4, 2020
16 Denman St, Soho, London W1D 7DY, UK

“Why am I trying to become what I don’t want to be,” Biff asks his father, Willy Loman, in Death of a Salesman. “All I want is out there, waiting for me the minute I say I know who I am.” Willy Loman’s belief in the American dream, which has crushed his sense of self, is at the heart of Arthur Miller’s classic American tragedy. This exquisite production, told from the perspective of an African American family, features Wendell Pierce in his West End debut, alongside Olivier award-winner Sharon Clarke. The first run, at the Young Vic, sold out. So the hit has returned for a special 10-week run at the Piccadilly. —C.J.F.
