Francesca Martinez has used her experience with cerebral palsy—she prefers to describe herself as “wobbly”—to make theater about disability. In her newest play, Martinez stars as Jess, a disabled therapist whose patients tend to be physically able but emotionally wounded. Together they bond over a shared enemy: the Tory MP who is intent on slashing social services. All of Us was set to premiere in March 2020, but then the pandemic began. The long-delayed show, finally onstage, has won raves. —Jensen Davis
