What happens when you bring together the work of Andrew Pierre Hart and Alexandria Smith? You find Utopia. That’s the goal at least in a new exhibit by the two artists, who collectively ponder a world without earthly limitations. Hart’s works responds to rhythmic expression; he depicts people listening, singly and in groups, and asks us to think about what listening looks like. Smith is interested in space, in how sketches transform into three dimensions. Her focus is the Black femme body in space. Together, Hart and Smith create environments with expanded sensory perception. —Clara Molot
