Body politics have gotten complicated. Globalization, intersectionality, and social media have shifted definitions of beauty over the last decade. This exhibition, “Nude,” inaugurates the momentous Berlin opening of the Swedish photography museum Fotografiska, which has outposts in Stockholm, New York, Tallinn, and Shanghai. Across the space, 200 works by 20 female-identifying artists—among them, Dana Scruggs, Arvida Byström, and Elinor Carucci—explore the centuries-long fascination with the human body. —Elena Clavarino
