This fall the New York City Ballet resumes in-person performances at Lincoln Center. The season is marked by six farewells, among them the principal women Maria Kowroski, Lauren Lovette, and Abi Stafford. Programs are studded with the Balanchine classics Agon, Chaconne, Serenade, Symphony in C, Western Symphony, and that all-encompassing vision Monumentum/Movements, two ballets married in repertory, conjuring the spiritual and the scientific out of the same material—the human body, its soul and synapses. The season also features works by Robbins, Ratmansky, Peck, and new ballets by Sidra Bell and Andrea Miller. —L.J.
