Miu Miu Literary Club

The Ghanaian author and poet Ama Ata Aidoo.

Apr 22–24, 2026
Via Clerici, 10, 20121 Milano MI, Italy

Before she became a fashion-world darling, Miuccia Prada, the designer for both Prada and Miu Miu, was a fervent feminist with a Ph.D. in political science. She immersed herself in left-wing politics and pursued activism. That same commitment to female agency resurfaces in Miu Miu’s Literary Club. Recalling European literary salons from centuries past, the Italian fashion house offers programming, over two days, that examines how female writers express their independence through their work. This year’s selections are on point: Nobel Prize-winner Annie Ernaux’s A Girl’s Story dissects the sexual politics that shaped her identity, and Ama Ata Aidoo’s Changes: A Love Story explores female agency against the backdrop of post-colonial Ghanaian society. Live performances and panel discussions led by prize-winning writers are part of Miu Miu’s latest commitment to promote the arts. —Maggie Turner
