“In my life, I’ve always been concerned with fluidity and opposed to rigidity,” says the artist Isa Genzken. “That’s been automatic—I’ve never had to think about it.” Questioning culture, teasing Establishment norms, playing with paradigms, Genzken makes the continuum between fluidity and rigidity conceptual. Her career has spanned five decades, and this year it’s her 75th birthday. To celebrate, this exhibition includes 75 sculptures from all phases of Genzken’s career. —Elena Clavarino
