The rapper RM, better known as Kim Namjoon, leads the K-pop group BTS. He is also a serious art collector, with a particular interest in Korean modernism. Nearly 150 works from Namjoon’s personal collection are currently on view at SFMOMA, alongside selections from the museum’s holdings, in an exhibition he helped curate. Spanning Korean art from the fifth century to the present, the show includes ceramics, calligraphy, paintings, and sculptures by artists such as Yun Hyong-keun, Park Rehyun, and Chang Ucchin, whose works will be new to Americans. Namjoon has also contributed handwritten wall texts and an audio guide, giving visitors a personal introduction to the works he has spent years collecting. —Elena Clavarino
