Gloria's

Savannah Harris, “Gloria’s,” 2026.

Until July 26
57 High Street, Harlesden, London, NW10 4NJ

Are we in on the joke or the butt of the joke? For the latest exhibition of work by the London-based artist Savannah Harris, at Harlesden High Street, an Instagram post solemnly announced that “Harlesden has been gentrified and sadly we were overthrown by a large bakery chain.” The sparse and minimalist chain is called Gloria’s—suspiciously similar to the ubiquitous London coffee shop Gail’s. Still, while visitors sip generic lattes, they can also view Harris’s art along with works by four artists described as “mysterious outsiders.” The show is a response to growing urban gentrification and a shrinking art world that could altogether disappear if not properly supported. —Maggie Turner
