Winston Churchill was many things to many people. Some knew him as Winnie, others as the British Bulldog or the Father of Europe. His ebullience, eloquence, and never-say-die fight was at the heart of British morale during W.W. II. This exhibition, which marks the 150th anniversary of Churchill’s birth, brings together some of Europe’s best 20th-century cartoonists and their depictions of the brilliant statesman—including works by Leslie Illingworth, Neville Colvin, and David Low. Think bow tie, big cigar, and the two-fingered “V for Victory.” —Elena Clavarino
