In May and June, an exhibition of JJ Waller and Martin Parr’s photographs, “Beside the Sea,” took place on the rooftops of bus shelters. To see it, you had to buy a Brighton bus ticket and sit on the top deck. As if nodding to the photographs in the show—impromptu beach scenes taken on England’s coasts—the inventive bus-route curation turned the artworks into the kind of everyday images you spot while traveling. Adding to the fun, Waller and Parr each chose the images from the other’s archive. “Beside the Sea” has now come indoors. If you want to see the photographs, head to the Hove Museum of Creativity. —Jimmy Lux Fox
