The world never tires of humor. And it’s never without ambition. Which bodes well for All Out: Comedy About Ambition, a new play by Simon Rich. A former writer for Saturday Night Live, Rich has adapted several of his short stories for the stage, as he did for last year’s All In: Comedy About Love. Produced by Lorne Michaels, the play features a lineup of renowned comedians, including Sarah Silverman, Jon Stewart, Cecily Strong, and Jenny Slate. They perform a series of vignettes that explore the complexities of wanting something and wanting it bad. Each week four actors will take the stage, accompanied by original music from the young band Lawrence. —Jeanne Malle
