The Liberty Science Center has just debuted a commission by the renowned Argentine conceptual artist Leandro Erlich. It’s a giant interactive structure called The Building, and it looks like great fun. Erlich has created the facade of a brick townhouse, to scale, on the floor, then canted a huge mirror high above it so that visitors can see themselves climbing the walls, hanging from windows, whatever, without fear of falling. Also unveiled is a work by Dustin Yellin called The Politics of Eternity (2019), which looks like seven vertical aquariums that are really myriad slides of fused glass that encase miniature—one might say microscopic—scenes and environments. Yellin’s work is ingenious and enchanting! —Laura Jacobs
