Two adult brothers find themselves living under the same roof. Just out of jail and on parole, the younger Oshoosi drifts through lazy mornings at Ogun’s house, while Ogun rises at dawn to run his car workshop. When Ogun finally persuades Oshoosi to help out at the garage, a new threat enters the picture: Elegba, Oshoosi’s former prison mate. Before long, Oshoosi is pulled back into trouble, and once again, Ogun must do something to protect his troublesome sibling. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of this play by Tarell Alvin McCraney (Moonlight), the playwright himself co-directs with Bijan Sheibani. The new production is staged in the round, with live music inspired by the storytelling tradition of the Yoruba people of West Africa. André Holland and Alani iLongwe star. —Jeanne Malle
