Boxing is an ancient art form, one of the original sports in the Olympics of centuries ago. Boxers float, feint, and dance, their energy collected and often graceful. You might even say that boxing is beautiful. At Taschen in London, images captured by the gifted boxing photographer Neil Leifer are on display and for sale. Leifer achieved renown for his photographs of Muhammad Ali. In one image, Ali enters the ring like royalty in a long white jewel-encrusted robe. In another, he’s in the midst of throwing a punch. —Sophie Kemp
