As the bandleader of Talulah Paisley, Lyris Faron makes avant-garde pop. Imagine that the Ronettes were a punk band, or that all the freaks on Coney Island learned to play rock ‘n’ roll. Faron is a native New Yorker, and the former frontperson of the band T-Rextasy. This is her first show as Talulah Paisley since the pandemic, and the first with new bandmates. She’ll take the stage at the Mercury Lounge, an iconic venue in lower Manhattan. —Sophie Kemp
