Musée d'Orsay: Distance Visit

Mar 16, 2020 – Sept 20, 2021

Leave it to the French—chronic strikers, always running late, living embodiments of one of their most famous phrases, “laissez-faire”—to be among the first to come to the aid of a public in quarantine. The Musée d’Orsay, closed until further notice like the rest of Paris’s cultural institutions, is inviting viewers from around the world to discover its historic space—the museum was once the Orsay train station—and artistic treasures (from masterpieces by Renoir, Van Gogh, and Caillebotte to François Pompon’s Polar Bear) virtually. —J.V.
