It’s not often that two galleries come together to exhibit jointly, placing their different artists and styles in conversation with one another. So it comes as a delight that New York’s Luhring Augustine and Mexico City’s MASA are doing just that for the second time. Their collaboration, which takes place in MASA’s breathtaking 19th-century gallery space, includes three artists from each gallery: Eva LeWitt, Pipilotti Rist, and Diego Singh from Luhring Augustine, and Alma Allen, Héctor Esrawe, and Renata Petersen from MASA. The multigenerational, mixed-media dialogue addresses themes of sexuality, materialism, language, religion, and much more, all within one space. —Lucy Horowitz
