The Moscow-based composer Kate Shilonosova, who performs as Kate NV, makes music that bursts with color. She improvises, she de-tunes little flutters of keys, she loops her vocals. Her fourth album, WOW, comes out in April. To celebrate, Kate will be performing songs from the album at Public Records, a hi-fi bar and nightclub in Gowanus. Proceeds from WOW are going to War Child, an organization that supports children and families impacted by conflict. —Sophie Kemp
