The acclaimed screenwriter and producer Jesse Armstrong, responsible for Succession as well as several other shows and movies, is back with a new creation—Mountainhead. This time he directs as well as writes. The film follows the story of four tech giants who convene at one of their mountain mansions in response to a worldwide A.I. crisis. “I hope you rich folks don’t mind slumming it in the humble abode of the poorest billionaire in the gang,” we hear as the trailer begins, positioning the characters as deeply unlikable. As tensions grow and the magnitude of their power sets in, things begin to crash and burn inside the mansion as well as out there in the rest of the world. —Henry McGrath
