John Cullum: An Accidental Star

Apr 15 – May 6, 2021
108 E 15th St, New York, NY 10003, United States

The actor John Cullum debuted on Broadway in 1960, in the premiere production of Lerner and Lowe’s Camelot. He was cast as Sir Dinadan, but he also understudied Richard Burton (King Arthur) and Roddy McDowell (Mordred). Not bad for a lanky young man from Knoxville, Tennessee. Since then Cullum has starred in film, on television, in musicals, in Shakespeare. Along the way he won two Tony Awards for lead actor in a musical (Shenandoah, On the Twentieth Century). Join John for an enchanting 80-minute narrative of his life in the spotlight. —L.J.
