The Indian photographer Dayanita Singh likes to defy convention. She takes stunning black-and-white photographs of people and places around the world. But that’s only the beginning. Her artistry flows into the way she presents those photographs. Sometimes she arranges them into collages on teak-wood structures, other times she creates book-like objects or mobile sculptures that bind together disparate narratives. These multidimensional arrangements have been called “photo-architectures.” In this display, Singh’s “portable museums” and book objects include a new work, Let’s See. —Elena Clavarino
