Cressida's Dream

Feb 2 – Apr 22, 2022
25 Savile Row, Mayfair, London W1S 2ER, United Kingdom

“Everything looked the same, and it was,” reads an excerpt from Simon Astaire’s novella Cressida’s Dream. “All that had changed forever was me.” Published in 2021, the book tells the story of a father and daughter navigating a world on the edge of apocalypse. While Astaire was writing the book, he corresponded with his longtime friend Bill Jacklin, who illustrated it. Working from rural Rhode Island, Jacklin shifted from his usual depictions of urban life to idyllic images of nature. At Ordovas, Jacklin’s illustrations are on view. —Elena Clavarino
