George R. R. Martin has spent 15 years and counting on The Winds of Winter, the long-awaited sixth installment of his Songs of Ice and Fire series, but luckily for viewers, he has no such restraint when it comes to screen adaptations of his work. The third and latest return to Westeros, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, adapted from his novellas, Tales of Dunk and Egg, takes place 90 years before the events of Game of Thrones but 75 after those of House of the Dragon. The show will follow the adventures of Dunk, the future Lord Commander of the Kingsguard (Peter Claffey), and his squire, Egg, who is Aegon V Targaryen, the future king of Westeros (Dexter Sol Ansell). —Paulina Prosnitz
